As with many of the sights in China, there were crowds of people here. It was actually very difficult to take pictures without other people in the shot. Often, there were lines of people waiting to take a picture in a particular spot and you literally had to push your way in when it was your turn or someone would rush in before you. But overall, people were fairly considerate and would give you time to take your picture.
